SPS Health Insurance Package (TPA-SUMMIT formerly SRT) offers medical benefits, dental, prescription medicine, vision, and Life Insurance.Employee only premium is paid 100% by the employer. To have dependent benefits, the employer contributes 40% of the premium amount. The dependent benefit includes eligible children, spouse, or family coverage. The premium cost of $266.15 per month for employee only coverage and $284.24 per month additional for dependent coverage. Depending upon the length of employment (10-months, 11-months, 12-months) the premium is applied evenly on a bi-weekly deduction. Effective September 1, 2007, the dependent coverage premium will increase by six percent. The new rate includes an employer contribution of 38.6% toward the dependent premium of $113.70. The employee's portion is 61.4% or $180.77 per month. SPS offers their employees Standard Life Insurance. The minimum coverage is $30,000, the amount varies based on the employee's salary. The employee pension plan is a 401K with Manulife Financial, a packet is available after regular employment. SPS, employer, will match up to 5%. The school will contribute 2% to all eligible employees even if the employee decides not to contribute. The employee will be 100% vested after two years of service. This salary deferral is deducted before taxes. No federal or state tax will be applied to this deduction, while employed at SPS. Employee will receive a statement every three (3) months. | PERSONAL AND SICK FOR 10 & 11 MONTHS EMPLOYEES | ||||
Regular full-time Teachers are given three (3) days of personal leave; should an employee enter on duty in the middle of the school year, they are given one and one-half days (1.5). Personal leave is not cumulative and is subject to lose or use basis at the end of each school year contract period. Regular full-time Teachers earn four (4) hours of sick leave per pay period and sick leave is cumulative. Unused sick leave may be carried forward. Use the SPS Personnel Policy as your guide for leave request approval and usage.

| VACATION AND SICK LEAVE FOR FULL YEAR EMPLOYEES | ||||
Regular full-time 12-months employees may earn up to twenty (20) days of vacation leave. Computation of earned vacation days is based upon a full-time, eight-hour day, and forty-hour week. Sick leave can be earned at four (4) hours per pay period and sick leave is cumulative. Unused sick leave may be carried torward. | AFFORDABLE SCHOOL CAMPUS HOUSING | ||||
| The SPS Operations Department accepts applications for on campus housing, phone 928.672.3515, fax number 928.672.3503. Confirm housing rates with their office and to confirm availability. The rental rates are very affordable and rent includes water and propane, used for cooking and heating. Rental rates range from $107 to $233 bi-weekly as payroll deductions. Unfurnished housing include: 1-bedroom apartment (garage separate from apartment), 2-bedroom house with garage, and 3-bedroom house with garage. | ||||
